  • my colleagues say that everytime i tongue the notes are somewhat different which means my air is not constant. how m i going to detect that?

  • @aisyam92 When trying to detect inconsistencies I usually record myself. Then, experiment with changing various things you are doing to find the best combination. It's hard to say what your problem is without hearing you or seeing you perform. Good luck!

  • Hi, I have no problem with single tonguing, but I have a problem with double tonguing. I have tried many syllables such as tu-ku, tee kee, ga da, etc. I can only do It once but I can't keep it constant. Can you help me please? Help would be appreciated.

  • Start by practicing saying whatever syllable you decide to use. Say it over and over again until it is fast and comfortable. Then mimick what you would do while actually playing but by just blowing air without the horn. Finally, put this on the horn. You can also practice each syllable separately. You'll most likely have to spend more time with your second syllable. Experiment with syllables until you find what works best for you. Whatever you do it will take time and lots of repetition.
