L'Abeille (The Bee) by Francois Schubert. I'm playing violin, with Wanda Stubbart (Saturday Music Club guest)on piano at the PASCO dinner fundraiser & cultural talent show held October 25, 2008.

More about the music:
"The Bee" was composed by Franz(François) Schubert, a German composer who worked in France as François Schubert (the son of Franz Anton Schubert). This Franz Schubert was born in Dresden(1808-1878), and is sometimes referred to as "Francois Schubert" to try to avoid confusion with the other Franz Schubert! The Bee is part of his collection of 12 Bagatelles op.13, and he also composed some excellent duos with the cellist Frederic Kummer.

The Bee (L' Abeille) is probably François Schubert's most remebered piece. This is a great piece for musicians to work on clean string slurred string crossings as well as the obvious left hand training.

has to do with where the camera recorder is positioned.

notice the piano projects straight towards the camera...but the violin is faced away from the camera man.

  • the balance is fine....great, but coulda beem a little cleaner....and there was no feeling. no dynamics. looks too....safe...play the part!!

  • i think the piano is a little loud..kinda distracting . But good job! :]

  • I was just wondering, what kind of strings do you use?
