This is a Campus USA outreach. Brother Jed Smock, Sister Cindy, and Holy Hubert Lindsey. Holy Hubert was a holiness preacher. He has gone on to be with the Lord. This 1987 outreach was at Bowling Green State University.
@GregSolomon What is your purpose here? Are you a Christian? The man is dead, are you going to bad mouth a dead man? I have an answer for your question.
The tribesman would go straight to Hell. He had his chance. We all have two lights of the knowledge of God, no matter where you live. We have the light of god's creation. When we really study creation we know there is a God. Also we have the law of God on our hearts, known as the conscience. The tribesman knew God existed. There is no excuse.
...and the lawyer who helped moderate Hubert's radio show came on the line and told me..."How dare you ask Hubert a question like that and put him on the spot on live radio." After saying that to me, he hung up.
Apparently the concept that I posed in my question must have been too difficult for Hubert to get his mind around and answer, and his lawyer co-host came to his rescue, got me off the line, and got back to the easy questions that really made nobody think. -Greg Solomon
...If you tell me he gets a chance to accept Jesus after he dies, then he is being given an extremely unfair advantage over the rest of us, because of course he would accept him. He would then know for a fact that hell and everything else is real. There would be no faith whatsoever in accepting Jesus. It would be either that or the very reality of hell fire.
I thought it was a very good question that deserved a good answer, but instead, I was cut off from Holy Hubert's line...Continued...
I called in to Holy Hubert's radio program once and asked him a simple question. I asked him if Jesus Christ is the only way into heaven, then what about a tribesman in the Amazon jungle who perhaps lived his entire life and then finally died in that jungle without ever even hearing about the Bible or Jesus Christ, much less accepting him as a savior. He must go straight to hell, If not, then that would imply that there must be some other way...Continued in next post...
When I see this it reminds me of how they persecuted Jesus...This man Hubert Lindsey was a Godsend for many..He was a true man of god that knew the ins an outs of Christiaity..He inspired one of the closest men in my life..Thank you for all the work you did here on earth.I know you are in Heaven!! Your testimony lives on..Thanks for your dedication to Our Father in Heaven!! Many souls have been saved due to this mans life work!
I was a three (3) year old Christian during the taping of this video. I wasn't able to visit him personally until 2000 when he was already in the hospital as a result of a stroke.
Jed has one or two videos in his basement still of this exact recording. I was able to visit Hubert (twice) when he was in the hospital during the last years of his life. I asked him to pray for me and my ministry as a young preacher. That was Sept 2000.
