the jackets arent doing good this series b/c they have no playoff experience and detroit has more than any other team....the jackets are gonna be a force for years to come though. once they get brassard and filatov in the line-up they're gonna be a contender

I WAS AT THAT GAME!! it sure sucked seeing them get killed, but the place was insane! Ive never heard it so loud!

if columbus ever made the playoffs i would cheer for them they are the underdog.

Should the Jackets fail for nail? Or win at all costs? The Indianapolis Colts just went to suck for Luck.

Jackets need another playoff birth. I was there for the draft and it was crazy and can only picture how INSANE Nationwide can be in the playoffs.
However, GO JETS GO!!

@LocoGroove it actually is we have had a losing team and sold out a TON in the past.. if we put together an 6th-10th place team consistently we will sell out.. were not like Edmonton where we can sit in last place. but were far from a Washingon where if we arent the best nobody will be in those seats.

wow this gave me goosebumps.. I am not asking for the Stanley Cup but to be there and watch great hockey at the highest level with that kind of crowd.. wow must have been a great night even if they lose

@PLERKTA The name "BLue Jackets" dates back to Ohio's history in the Civil War. Ohio contributed more trrops and supplies to the war than any other Union state. Also, all the Union's uniforms were manufactured in Columbus, Ohio. When the Blue Jackets score a goal, to commerate the Civil War-rooted history, a Civil-War-era cannon is fired just above Section 117 by a crew of uniformed men dressed as Union soldiers.
how did the blue jackets get their name? what does it mean?

@PLERKTA it's a reference to the Union army of the Civil War...Union soldiers wearing "blue jackets"...

hmm..technically, that doesn't DESCRIBE Columbus, now does it? YOUR comment implies ownership based on a CHEAP SHOT from a piece of shit forward for your team.
