@witkr904 Take a look at the one called "Chopper". It processes the logs with out lifting and you can draw the next log up when working the first log. It shears up to a 16" log. Not saying it's the best, but it looks faster then any ones that saw the log.

Spliting wood with this is fine and all but does it fix you a steak and fetch you a beer when your done in the wood lot?
-
@anooseholay ..........a waste of time chasing logs, no way one guy can do 4 cord an hour like they claim, every time you go back and touch the log you lose time and money, complete automation is the key like this setup

from the last of his last commentary, what similar machine costs twice the price? $60,000 for a PTO processor? Who is he referring to?

Got Wood?

The best spliting design comes from Rainer Hydraulics in Oregon. Look for their website and video of their product 'The Chomper' and see how that machine works. Wood that is sheard on the ends will dry faster as most of the moisture in wood comes from the ends of the wood rather than out the sides that have been split.
yeah most logs full of dirt and rocks..
that dulls chain quickly.
they be better of using a saw tooth from a
portable saw mill to cut the wood.
