Powercolor AMD Radeon HD 6850 Graphics Card
* $209 (but well worth it)
*Plays everything extremely well at 720p (1280x720,1280x1024, 1366x768)
*Plays some games at 1080p at 60 frames per second (Savage 2 and Noxious) with some settings tweaks.
*Single-slot solution for your graphics needs (which I needed because my gateway only had 1 slot available because of BTX motherboard configuration)
*Pretty simple install (downloaded drivers from Powercolor website (Catalyst 11.11)
It has DVI, HDMI and 2 Display Ports. Pretty good graphics card and most likely the best I can get for my money and for my computer (Gateway GT5220 Media Center Edition Desktop PC).
Some cons are that the GPU clocked down because my PCI-E slot is 1.1 (but that's a mobo issue). But it also clocked down my WEI on my RAM score. it was 5.3 and now it is 4.9 :/
I suggest to anyone looking for the best single slot solution, look no further. I bought from Newegg ebay page. Delivered quickly!
This card has apparently been discontinued. This card does make a bit of noise if you're within 2 feet of your desktop, especially if the fan is above 80% speed on SpeedFan. It also makes a lot of heat so manage your cables well and keep your room well ventilated. Powerful single slot cards tend to emit a lot of heat because of Moore's Law.
