Most of the time, when we are sent systems for review, they are some of the highest-end and most expensive gaming rigs available. Companies tend to want to showcase a "flagship" product, one that will impress anyone that gazes upon it. And while CyberPower definitely builds systems like that, for this review, we are looking at something much more modest - the pre-built Gamer Ultra 2098.

The specifications for the system are pretty straight forward: AMD FX-4100 Quad-core Bulldozer processor with a stock cooler Gigabyte M68MT-S2 NVIDIA 7025 chipset motherboard 8GB DDR3-1333 MHz memory AMD Radeon HD 6670 1GB graphics card 500 GB SATA III 6 Gb/s HDD DVD Burner optical drive 500 watt power supply Azza Black Orion Red case Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit

These aren't parts that are going to "wow" you by any stretch but the price might: Newegg is selling this complete system for $599 (as of this writing) and buying all of these components individually, on the same website, our total was $596. Considering that someone has already built the machine (in a very clean and neat fashion) and you get basic support and a warranty, the cost of this machine is very compelling.

  • BAH AMD SUX!

  • @CoolsBreeze signals. I restarted the computer several times, tried different brand cables, tried different types of cables (HDMI, VGA), and tried 3 different monitors, but no luck. I'm no computer expert, but I would guess that the video card wasn't working. It's a shame, but I've heard of people who had similar problems, then got it replaced, and have gotten a new one that works. I'm going to be sending the computer in to be replaced this week, I'll let you know how it goes.

  • @CoolsBreeze I ordered this from newegg a few weeks ago. It arrived very quickly, and upon setting it up, I was very impressed. I was able to run every game I tried, from Starcraft to Battlefield 3 (With settings tweaking, however). I went to bed that night satisfied with my new computer, and shut it off. I woke up the next morning, went to school all day and returned home, excited to play with my new toy. But when I turned it on, the computer and lights turned on, but I wasn't getting any video

  • I'm reading a lot of reviews on newegg saying that either the psu or the graphics card dies really quickly. I've also read some reviews saying that the case is cracked or that some components inside are loose. Can people who have bought this system what their experience was like? I was planning on getting this system but a few of the negative reviews has kind of got me thinking otherwise.

  • @Country0Metal0Boy I can tell you running an AMD card on a Intel board or vise versa works just fine. Don't let that get in the way of the card you want. Also if you are going to buy this then replace the board and card why not just build your own? It's cheaper and you can come out with a little better parts.

  • Mine should be here on Tuesday (2/8/12), I got it because I needed to upgrade so I could play Star Wars: The Old Republic. I've read the reviews on NewEgg about how it can run on high settings, but then others saying it couldn't. Can anyone confirm either of those and tell me if it runs well for Star Wars? I already planned on upgrading a few things, probably the motherboard and/or graphics card first because having an AMD processor and AMD graphics card on a NVIDIA chipset board makes no lol

  • @jmannunez High

  • Would i be able to play Tf2 and Minecraft? At high, medium, or low settings?

  • OMG i have this same computer pm for a picture. of my setup.

  • @QU1CKZz yes
