@RocketZX Aye but those were arcade conversions, also it was impossible to complete anyway, you reach stage 118 and it restarts the game with slight variations i think. I've "completed" the Amstrad CPC version back in my childhood.. epic times.

@theprophetstryder only reason I prefer G4 is because of the quest mode, and legends because you actually level up and get stronger.
I was never able to beat G1 or G2 completely and I really didn't like starting off from the beginning after you die.

if it was gauntlet legends it would've sold a HELLLLL of a lot more!!!

Mmmm..... Gauntlet. Beat Legend and Dark Legacy by myself. Beat Seven Sorrows with my ex boyfriend.... Who was basically no help, falling asleep on the next to last level. Seven Sorrows really missed its chance to make itself more RPGish. Of course, we may never have another Gauntlet unless the company that bought Midway picked up Gauntlet too.
