@saxaphonedude The Hevenly Father thing you have right on The God that jesus prayed to in the Garden the God I pray to.
Ephesians 1:3
Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ:

@saxaphonedude Heliocentrism of Plato and Ptolemy, Geocentrism of Coprenicus and the Flat Earth of The Middle Ages are Relics of the past and too will The great Science of the 20th and 21st century will go down when the Big Bang will fall into a Black Hole of Ignorance. What did God do sit on a big ball? Then one Day say I will blow it all up for fun? Why, little pieces called black holes are so strong that light can't even escape, if thats the case God lived on a black dark world.

@scottwins2 I believe in both a big bang and a Heavenly Father. The bible says there was a beginning, which science didnt believe until the big bang proved that yes, there was a beginning to the universe. The two can go hand in hand

To answer your question I don't assume everyone on here is a Christian. Your statement is not true. Many are here just drop in to thump people on the nose for some fun, that i do believe.Too bad your an athesist, A Big Bang is much harder to believe in to me than my personal Father, who is a God.
-
@scottwins2 Why do you assume anyone you talk with believes in christianity? I don't believe in a God who intervenes with out lives just like Einstein didn't.
And for the record, religion is dying in the western world. Hell, here in west Europe we have countries that are 50-80% atheist. Atheism is the fastest growing group in USA for some time now. Notice those atheist countries are the most peaceful and have the highest IQs (Japan, Sweden, Norway, Germany, New Zealand, Canada etc)

@scottwins2 Liar, the Trinity is CLEARLY taught in the Bible and is in the writings of the Early Church Fathers. Jesus never prayed to himself. Jesus was both fully human an fully divine. In his humanity, he is inferior to the Father, so therefore, he prayed to the Father. In Christ's divinity, he is perfectly equal to the Father and the Holy Spirit. the original Christians (that is the Orthodox!) were ALWAYS monotheistic. Polytheism in Christianity is nowhere to be found in ancient history.

“Our faith is concentrated in the Son of God, and through him in the Father; and the Holy Ghost is their minister to bring truths to our remembrance, to reveal new truths to us, and teach, guide, and direct the course of every mind, until we become perfected and prepared to go home, where we can see and converse with our Father in Heaven.”
― Brigham Young

“We are in a great school, and we should be diligent to learn, and continue to store up the knowledge of heaven and of earth, and read good books, although I cannot say that I would recommend the reading of all books, for it is not all books which are good. Read good books, and extract from them wisdom and understanding as much as you possibly can, aided by the Spirit of God.”
― Brigham Young
Instead of all this nasty, negative LDS bashing, why not look at action, what the members of the church do for good. Does anybody think of that? Why bash? Whats the point? Just because you don't understand things about the church or they seem weird? Most religions have things that are "weird" about them.

@probrojeffro “Behold there are save two churches only; the one is the Church of the Lamb of God and the other is the church of the devil; wherefore who so belongeth not to the church of the lamb of God belongeth to that great church; which is the mother of abominations; and she is the whore of all the earth.” (The Book of Mormon, 1 Nephi 14:10) Who's bashing who?
