A new and VERY exciting 4 part series. Fear is the tool which Satan uses to control our minds. This tool we have named...Priestcraft
From the fall of man in the Garden of Eden until this very hour, Satan continues in his quest to convince men that eternal life is attained by good works. And of course that is a lie straight from the father of lies himself, a descriptive label placed on Satan by the Lord Jesus Christ, when He denounced the Pharisees in John 8:44 This is the conclusion, part 4

  • (3) but if good works is defined in the bible as any act of faith, then that would be any work of faith, and any thing that is not faith is sin. By this definition, can we still sin, and still go to heaven since this life outside of faith would not stop us from going to heaven once we are saved? I am thinking beyond the moment of weakness that we repent of and turn from, but a lifestyle of the lack of faith (disobedience of the commands of God). What does this mean for practical Christian living

  • (2) and most important in my mind, since we can't lose our salvation by failing to do good works, does that mean that we can get saved, but then continue in [unrepentent] sin and still go to heaven? I think what this is boiling down to in my mind is "What is the bible's definition of good works?" That we can do without and still make it into heaven. Because depending on what the definition is, it is possible to not do "good works" and not sin (purposefully, without repentance),

  • (1) This sounds like the baptist doctrine of "once saved, always saved," is indeed correct. But now, what I'm wondering is how this maps out for our daily Christian living. While we cannot lose our salvation, shouldn't good works exist post-salvation (faith without works is dead)? What does this mean for the lifestyles that we are to leave? And what exactly is the definition of "good works?" because in my mind, any act of obedience to what God says can be considered a good work.
