Arlene Phillips defends Britannia High and hints that the axed stories for Britannia High are just "newspaper rumours".

ITV have confirmed that the are currently no plans for a second series but have not confirmed to us that Britannia High has been axed.

i think britannia high is an amazing series and has a fan base that is extensive!! i've found so many fans in my local area but they won't admit to being fans until they hear my ring tone. i'd be so upset if there wasn't a second series and from talking to a huge amount of people the feeling is the same for them. i just don't think itv realise how many fans there are of the show. i even collect the photo cards and my sister has got the sticker collection. BRING BACK BRITANNIA HIGH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

i was honestly surprised by the fact that there are solid story lines and excellent songs that drive the characters forward. i expected a bad drawn out remake of high school musical, but found it to be much deeper with more complex characters, shame if a second season isn't released.

sadly, i am in the us, and found myself on youtube watching the whole first season on my day off. its like an obsession :)
