I can remember these being launched and many of us were aching for it to be up there with the SD1 but with a transverse V6 and FWD, it wasn't quite there IMO.

Absolutely beautiful car,stunning lines. A pity most of todays cars look as though they were designed by a blind man in a power cut. Still,they are a lot better made!

I wonder what happened to Rover man, they had such a flair for automotive design, look at the difference between Honda and Rover cars...same car under it all but Rover looked so much more plush. Never owned a rover, almost bought a Sterling here in the States. Sad really that they didnt take more care in building their cars better. My friends Rover died at 39,000 miles.

Love them, had two and will always think they drive like real executive cars, pretty dashboard and nice shape, pity about the fact that they werent directly replaced and were left to go on long after they should have been. Cool car, ,look after it, I might just buy it one day!!
