@TheWildBunny69 I also live in Louisiana and plant food plots for deer. Rye grass is going to need at least two waterings a week to grow to its full potential. Look at some of the Mossy Oak Biologic stuff. I used the brassica,clover,and turnip blend and all you really need to go is mow the grass take weed and grass killer wait till the grass dies remove it and spread your seed. The seed blend only needs to be buried 1/4 of an inch. Rain will bury it that 1/4 of an inch. That easy.
