I'd swear that's George Edward Powells' voice speaking at the very start, so pure & simple this version...those were fun days in Ohio...if you didn't get busted...
Craig was forced to leave the band on a pot possession change and did like2-3 years in the pen. Larry Goshorn took over guitar parts and Reilly sang more until Vince Gill signed on. Craig has PPL again with some of the original members
Let's set the record straight! First of all, this live version of "Amie" was intro'ed & sung by bassist Mike Reilly who temporarily took over the lead vocalist spot in a group coup d'etat. The original vocalist & writer of "Amie" was Craig Fuller who, at the time in 1974, had left PPL in pursuit of "other musical opportunities" including the critically acclaimed but commercially unsuccessful "American Flyer" produced by the Beatles own, George Martin. Vince Gill was drafted by PPL in 1978.
