Yes i agree that religion is good provided that it is not misuse.
In Kiratism, Mundhum is the ancient religious scripture and folk literature of the Kirat people of Nepal. Mundhum means "the power of great strength" in the Kiranti languages. The Mundhum covers many aspects of the Kirant culture, customs and traditions that have existed before Hinduism arrived in the Himalayas.
In Kiratism, there are only 2 main deities or God, namely Paruhang(mahadev), Sumnima(uma).
@MsDThapa hello my friend i never said that kiratism is only for adivasi janajatis like magar, gurung, rai, limbu, etc. Kiratism is for anyone. Kiratism does not differentiate, discriminate person base on race, sex or nationality. any person can convert to kiratism because we all share one common mother earth. there's no punishment for bahun, chettri if they want to embrace kiratism. but question is whether these people will accept kiratism as their faith.
Contd @ diliprai: If religion is a good thing and the truth(either one) it must be shared, knocking on someones door is inviting you to the good thing not shoving down someone throat presuming the knockers speak to adults and the decision is yours? Can i also ask you why is Kiratism only for castes like grg, magars, rai, limbus and etc what are the consequences, punishment or reward if any Bahun or Chetri wants to follow your Kiratism?
@diliprai Thanx 4 replying: my question to u was ur concept of God, how you define Worship and why u worship and what is religion to you? Unless I get a clear concept of the above we wont manage 2 've intellectual discussion and move forward. No! religion sud never be forced onto any one. Where in Holy Veda says a non hindu must be punished by hindu incase a non hindu eats beef meat? Even if that is the case and if its not mentioned in the Veda whose fault is it Veda or an ignorant hindu?
what i don't like is how in nepal non-hindus are not allowed to eat beef. now isn't this racism?
again you do not have to follow kiratism but show some respect. if you are hindu don't force your culture on non-hindus. respect them and give them equality by letting them kill cow the beef. and if you are christian don't come kncoking down on others people door and forcing them to convert. that's my message for all the people.
@MsDThapa yes that is true. the victors write history. that's what happen after aryan licchavis defeated kirat dynasty in 330 AD. kiratism was almost wiped out from nepal and brahamanical religion(today call hinduism) and vedic rituals, culture became dominant in nepal. the existing kiratism religion was incorporated into hinduism. many historian have already verified that shivaism was the result of kirati religion. finally i have no remorse whatever religion you want to convert to.
cont:@ diliprai:... there may have been earlier religion present in Nepal regardless of the tribes or castes present there today. Please can I ask you what worship, God and religion mean to you? And can you please share the evidences that collectively claim the Kiratism is the religion of indigenous people of Nepal.
cont:@ diliprai In N. Europe they used to worship the sun (hence origin of "sunday") & the fir tree(Christmas tree) believing it had life-giving abilities as it survived winter cold. Worshiping stone, another human like me or you does not really get me out of troubles when need be. there may have been other people in Nepal who had beliefs of whom no records or evidence remains(or evidence of their beliefs were destroyed) which pre - dates Kiratism. As they say the victors write history and...
@ diliprai thnx 4 yr comment. Im Magar & i do not for a single second believe that I have to follow Kiratism & as a human of free will i believe i have an absolute right to believe in what I want. Determining indigenous people requires a different study to determining religion. What I have gathered is you are talking about paganism & pagans worship idols, sun, moon, rocks & other inanimate objects.
@MsDThapa so are you buddhist or still follow magar religion?
