@ProChoiceJesus - I never flew this one but the A320 many times, also the A320 of its competitor Cebu Pacific. These companies use very tricky commercial practices selling you "promo" flights then afterwards at check-in applying various "fees" and the 15kg limit on checked luggage is one of them. As a consequence, people try to stuff as much as they can in their carry-on. I remember having in total 22 kgs in my large cargo pants pockets and backpack. They never check those.

The A340 is by far the most elegant commercial airplane being operated IMO. Also it's a joy to travel in it: it's exceptionally quiet compared to the 747 and all twins. It has an impeccable safety history: not a single fatality in commercial operation.

It's a real pity that's it's not being produced anymore.

The A340's performance is on par & even higher than many 4 engine jets. Not that there's a lot of 4 engine jets to compare to, though. With 4 large engines, A340 climbs well & carries an incredible amount of passengers & cargo. It has one of the longest cruise distances of any large passenger jet, which makes it a prime choice (well, *made* it) for long-distance & overseas operations. Lots of U.S. mechanics don't like working on Airbus since they're so different than American planes.
