@SuperSparkyMark1 The point of the dream was not to make Fisher believe what his father said but to introduce the idea that he must sever his ties from his father as just the instrument of his father's ambitions of a global power and to seek out his own destiny as a person. The dream was meant as a movie to help him highlight what his own life is and to help him grow as a person. It was meant to stimulate something in his subconscious to influence his decisions.
