REPORTERS - In Burundi the number of farmers is on the rise, but there is less and less land to be shared out. The country is facing a demographic time bomb. Land is becoming increasingly sought-after, creating conflicts between neighbours. These disputes are undermining the country's recent national reconciliation.

  • 00:15 burundi is more Central African than Eastern, last time I checked.

  • @TheDarkangellight That statement is as ignorant sounding as Marie Antoinette's "If they don't have bread, let them eat cake". Burundian yearly GDP is about $700 million. the govt cannot afford to build skyscrapers. Plus families depend on many children to fetch wood and water in order to function. what you need to do is teach ppl to farm together, and build factories that depend on the farm goods produced in Burundi. When families begin to earn enough money, they wont need many kids.

  • @dhilrukshan

That and family planning would help them tremendously.

  • LOL

  • Urbanization might be the answer where most of the people start living in cities and towns.
