Tips+Advice for College Freshman!

Hey wonderful college freshies all around the world,this video is just for you!I thought it may be beneficial for you since starting college is a really fun,exciting ,yet stressful time!So here is *MY* thoughts and opinions from someone who's been there,done that(me!).Enjoy!

MORE TIPS+ADVICE:

1.)Make Friends!
-Nothing is worse than having no friends in college.My first year of college was rather lonely since I didn't make much of an effort to reach out to other students,and I do regret it.Be active in clubs and activities in your dorm hall so you can learn more about your fellow classmates and campus!Also,reach out the various "groups" or types of people.Especially international students!

2.)Get Him to the Greek!
-I hear many great things about joining a greek organization even though I am not part of one.They seem to have many great benefits and is also another way to better serve your community and make friends!

3.)More on College Dating!
-There's players in college just like anywhere else.Don't take any kind of relationship too seriously until you REALLY get to know a person!

4.)Looking Put Together really IS Important!
-I mentioned this is the video,but there's always someone watching you wether you realize it or not(sounds creepy,but it's life).Professors and Faculty sometimes pay close attention to how their students dress and present themselves to class so don't get too sloppy with it.Especially if you're a business/law/medicine/fashion major!

5.)Try New Things:
-College has many more opportunities than most high schools so try a new sport,hobby,or learn about a new culture.Take fun classes that may not really be a part of your major but may be just a topic you want to learn more about for fun!

6.)StudyStudyStudy!
-Enough said.You don't want to waste you or your parents money.Get that Degree!

7.)Homesick Much?
-Facebook,e-mail,text,call,BBM,or SKYPE your missed friends and fam.I think everyone has some sort of device like that these days so keeping in touch is easy!

8.)Hook Your Space Up!;
-Besides having no friends,having a boring dorm is also sad.Personalize it and make it all about you!Decorate it with pictures,school stuff,organize your goods in a cute and creative way(I'll have a dorm tour/organizational video within a couple weeks!).

9.)Have School Spirit!
-Go to your schools sporting events,especially football and basketball!Usually with your school ID card at least the home games are free so that will be something for you and your friends to do and interact with other students.Plus,it's free!

10.)Have FUN!
-Making learning as fun as possible for you.Dreading class and homework is very negative and will cause you to put it off and not get things done.Work!
