Sometimes the language resets, so it could be some other language. Some family heard "kill mommy" but it was, "quiero mami", which is Spanish for "I want mommy", it was just what they heard.

@ppdigimontamer she is happy someone is consened and the doll is simply having a malfunction and sirously messed up! and i dont think a mother would be programing a doll to make deth threts to her OWN CHILD
-
That seems messed up. She probably programmed it on the computer to say that, I have no idea why. That's horrible. If she doesn't want him to hear the toy say that, why not take the batteries out before he plays with it?

Elmo: You Got seven days to live
kid : KILL JAMES
Elmo : YEEEEEEEEEEEEEE
-
This reminds me' of that evil krusty doll that was on that Simpson's episode

i bought one for my nephew and changed the batteries and its doing the same thing.. i wasnt touching it and it randomly said "Elmo help me" then later on it said "Elmo kill me" there was more then one person in the room to confirm what it said.. so clearly it is a malfunction in the doll

@k24601 finally. First comment ive seen that proves someone is smart. thank you
It's obvious that this is all a big hoax. First of all, it's stated that the doll is a Know Your Name doll. The mom could have easily programmed it to say "Kill James" and the doll would have thought that the child's name is supposed to be that.
Second, the news reporter says that the mom "is not laughing". If that was true, then why was the mom smiling and grinning throughout the whole interview?
