This clip is taken from an interview with Chris Benoit conducted in April, 2004 (you can find the full interview on my YouTube channel).

Benoit comments on drug and alcohol abuse in wrestling and where the blame should be directed.

Benoit's comments are extremely interesting for rather obvious reasons...

  • I never said Chris wasn't on steroids, it's been well documented that he had extremely high levels of testosterone in his body at death, much more than theraputic purposes would require.

Benoit didn't say he wasn't on drugs here either, he is just saying don't blame the industry as many are doing now. I don't agree, but it's interesting to get Benoit's perspective.

  • no actually i didn't, theres no proof that he did it. They just added 2 and 2 together and said what they thought was obvious. There are no finger prints, even on the rope that he hanged himself with, supposedly. and the woman they sent in was in there over an hour. I've read the records man, look it up

  • Not to defend Benoit, but something beyond his control had to be very wrong with him for him to do what he did. I'm not a doctor and unless anyone else posting here is, we don't really know how serious brain injuries can affect someone so we shouldn't make comments like "if he had a serious brain injury he would have done this or not done that or remembered this or not remembered that" beforehand. Only a doctor who specializes in brain injuries would be qualified to speak about it.

  • @HelsinkiSmashRod He did it. Jericho himself says he knew Benoit did it long before the law enforcements knew. Just because he knew Benoit was quite frankly insane. Regal knew too.

  • I'm the biggest benoit fan, bit i just wondered; he kiled his famlity after eddie died. He always talked about him. Was. Benoit obsessed with Eddie?

  • A friend of mine told me there is a video on here (Youtube) that shows that Benoit had either texted or called a couple WWE superstars and told them his "front door was open and the dogs are in", or something like that. Basically he thinks its possible he didn't kill anyone; he thinks it could be a conspiracy and someone else committed the murders. Yes I'm confused and was wondering if anybody on here knows anything about this.

  • So nothing drove you to kill your family. Sick fuck.

  • I still can't believe this guy killed his fucking family and himself. It's fucking crazy. I hope God will rest his soul. But he has to answer to the man upstairs eventually.

  • did he have a stutter

  • . he had the ability to text his friends. SO in any case it was either Nancy, Daniel or benoit did it as thier was no 4th person and it was a crime of passion. and looking at timeline it seem logical it was benoit...I think you just find it hard to believe that someone your related to who you thought you knew cause you seen him on tv each week could do such a thing and its hard to make sense. and he seemed larger than life so there would need to be some big conspricacy behind it.

  • he didnt call emergency services. if i, u or anyone were tied up etc i think u agree that we couldn t call anyone at all no?

the guy had brain damage? brain damage = kill family? his dna was all over the bodies?wtf?! nancy dna was all over the bodies, daniels dna was all over the bodies. what a stupid argument bro..i respect the ones that believe u did it. but don t give me a "bad coment" for stating my beliefs...

  • He stayed in the house with the dead bodys and made no attempt to call emergency services. there is no evidence of a 4th person. His Dna was all over the victims bodies

The guy had brain damage that was causing mood swings. he had a straid relationship with his wife and his wrestling carrer was on the downside was known for past violence. he was on illegal drugs that could of contriduted to mood. mid life crisis. etc there is so many reasons to say he did it. and seems no alternative to him no
