@JPWesterberg Was on Kauai for 8 days in September. No traffic troubles at all - and after being on 4 of the islands - Kauai was my favorite! It is the garden island, I've never been anywhere more amazing than the Napali coast. The entire island is wonderful. Definitely go. The coconut coast is a great place to stay - you are 1/2 way from the Napali Coast & Waimea Canyon. We fell so much in love with it that we're thinking of a move there. Which I'm sure is welcome. :)

nice pics, the sunset is really hard to catch there as it only seems to last a few minutes at the really colourful stage but its worth making sure you are there for it as its like no where else on earth!

went to maui last august and loved it..want to go to kauai this time...Is it as amazing as it looks? someone said the traffic is horrible on the only main road.

We didn't have any trouble with traffic... I think you just have to avoid the main road during rush hours... I also think some of the locals who are not involved in tourism play up the traffic angle in hopes of keeping people away...
