After seeing Wicked, this scene 'causes me to mourn Elphaba. She was framed by the Wizard. He was wicked, not Elphaba.

This scene always makes me cry. Even the witches top soldiers are happy that the witch is gone. They were under her control, and now they are free.
I think the moral of the story is it only takes one bad person to cause evil and destruction, and when they are gone peace is restored.
The green general thanked and hailed Dorothy for slaying his master.
