  • How about credit to the other branches of service? its always Marines first, nothing could be further from the truth, how about the Aleutian Islands, N Africa, the European theater, The Flying Tigers, it wasn't Marines, most people don't even know about the Aleutian Island conflict, you are taught to believe what you are told and not the facts, MARINES ARE NOT ALWAYS FIRST, FACT.

  • asiankatoeylover: the flying tigers are marines, idiot...see those helicopters going over us??? those are the flying tigers, dumbass...and they're marines. they were with us on the entire MEU.

  • do girls get to go here???

  • anyone can go...this was just an artillery battery, and there are no female marines in artillery.

  • @asiankatoeylover it doesnt matter what branch your in ur still a US hero.

  • just like the marines before them

  • @Roadrunner242001 Stuff like that seems to happen in every war or conflict of some type. Like Somalia and Falluja.

  • @McGruff5150 Pappy Boyington was a Marine and MOH winner, he resigned from the Corp to join the Flying Tigers in 1941.

  • I've heard no one stays on the island after dark, out of respect for the dead. The entire island is a tomb to nearly 25,000 souls.

  • lol "alright befor we go kick some ass...BEACH PARTY!!!!"

  • Does anyone know what the regs are with getting the colors and guidon wet in the ocean? I would think the salt water would rust the metal. It seems like a huge no-no for some reason

  • @asiankatoeylover obvious troll is obvious

  • i would love to be able to go there, just being able to stand on the beach would be a great honor
