man those things are gas hogs. 300 6 cylinder my dads had 3 of them and all of them got the same gas mileage of a big block chevy.

Depends on if your Cat(s) are clogged or not. If they aren't then you won't notice much of an improvement moving to no cats or free flowing cats. If you have two cats, like my '95 300, an O2 sensor will be between the two cats and will throw a running rich code and the computer will try to compensate and your mileage will go out the window from there.
