Obama pitches his health plan listen to the code words!

Today Obama was short on details of what his plan was and emphasized what it wasn't. He said he wasn't going for a single payer system. He said if you have health now you didn't have to change to gov run care. However; the gov plan is going to undercut the private plans and operate at a loss because they already have a 645 Billion dollar fund to start it off. Your boss is going to change your health care plan to the gov plan to save money. They already have passed into law a council to decide what proceedures would be covered. He announced the head of this council right after he announced Kathleen Sibilus as HHS secretary. He told you you could keep your old coverage, but he didn't tell you your old plan wasn't going to change. They are going to ration care to save money. Because the White house council is going to determine policy for uniform health care in America. Don't let his smooth speech fool you. He is going for the Tom Daschel plan as outlined in Tom's 2008 book. He has already stolen 313 billion dollars from medicade to help get this plan off the ground. So states are either going to have to kick in more toward medicade to keep up thier services or they're going to have to ration care to save money on the short term.
If medicare is going bust in 8 years he needs to fix it, not add 46 million people to it's rolls.

Will certainly be interesting to see how it all ends up. Hope you lot dont end up with a bad system. (Have friends in the states). Some UHC systems are a real dogs breakfast. Australia has a good system - but its probably a system only affordable with a population below fifty million. Just hope you dont end up with a UK or Canadian disaster.

there is one problem w your statement. on pg 16 of the draft, no person who is not already on health care by private must go on govt. so businesses have no choice to put new people on the health care that is private.

After it is enacted, you MUST take the government health care.
