  • @vvollero To tell you the truth, he really never mentions regulation by government. Just by record companies. And this is coming from a fellow libertarian

  • So sweeeet!!!!!!!

  • Thank you very muchly acidinurmind!

  • @spencerspindrift Hehe! ;)

  • Who is the master who makes the grass blue?

    Gerry Garcia.

  • A) this is recorded pre-March 17th, 1967 (as I suspected, and McNally indicated) in part 5, around 4:45, Randy says. "the radio stations don't play you," and Garcia responds, "cuz our record's not out yet." and it was released March 17th.

    B) this is definitely Garcia's former banjo student, Randy Groenke conducting the interview (at least thru the 1st 5 parts i've played so far)

  • According to the McNally official history (p. 186) Garcia conducted 2 (recorded) interviews in support of the new album -- one with his old banjo student Randy Groenke, and then one with the famous and hugely influential Ralph J. Gleason. This sounds like Randy -- i wonder if the Ralph comes in the later posted parts?

where do you get the July 1st date from? McNally has this happening in March.

i'm going to load these onto RockPeaks where we have a TON of grate Dead stuff goin on. ;-)

  • Everyone in the world should listen to this whole thing. Right now.

HAPPY JERRY DAY! Can't imagine life without the Jerry and the Grateful Dead.

  • thankye thankye

  • Jerry Garcia. Easily the best interview in the history of rock n roll.
