Then there's the two rack unit Wavestations:

Wavestation A/D rack (2u) - extra Rom waves like EX, plus an extra Ram bank (3 Ram banks in total) & analogue inputs for processing external audio. Wavestation SR rack (1u) - same as the A/D, but lost the analog inputs, big screen & vector joystick, then added a further 7 permanent Rom banks of presets.

Seems like the EX, A/D and SR are 16 part multi timbral but I'm not 100%.

All the WS can take cards that give you another Ram bank.

The original Wavestation keyboard had 365 Rom waveforms - mostly synthetic sounds. There's one permanent Rom bank with 50 Performances (combos of patches with FX), 35 Patches & 32 Wave Sequences (lists of waves that play in order, used like oscillators in a patch). Two Ram banks each hold the same amount of Performances etc for your own sounds. 32 note polyphony & 8 part multi timbral.

WS EX keyboard had an additional 150 Rom waveforms including some real instruments & drums.

  • @MrMegaSWEBOY 400 - 500 dollars

  • you really picked out the cheesiest instruments here.. how about the warm pads??

  • The first patch sounded very very similar to the D-50's pcm loop in the patch called Digital Native Dance, it almost sounds just like it. Interesting similarities.
