Daco : Aquarium EP
papd006
out march 22

1 Aquarium
2 Feel Your Love feat Sarah Howard
3 Something For You
4 Play My Mind

PAPERecordings has hooked up with Dave Connally aka Daco, one of Manchesters best-kept secrets for a four track EP of pure class.

Daco has been a cornerstone of dance music in the North since the early 90s through his work with Zed Bias Phuturelounge, Jonny Millers broken beat label Jus Listen and The Unabombers Elektrons project. 2010 will see the launch of his own Magnetic Recordings and debut album. Always in league with the thrill of exploration and the genre 'good music', Daco's pace, depths and decades of influence endlessly journey through jazz, soul and disco, funk, electro and house.

The Aquarium EP mixes up a heady brew of jazz, soul, house, breaks, afro, techno and garage for four amazingly produced timeless tracks. First up Aquarium is 4/4 roller that slips in to the easy side of jazz with gorgeous filtered strings and vocals with a groove aimed at making hips shake and feet shuffle.

Nico De Ceglia : 4 nice tracks!

Geoff M (Sole) : Nice down tempo grooves

DJ Massi (Balihu) : Very nice tunes!

Al Mackenzie : Ace EP. Aquarium and Something For You are very cool, but it all is.

Frank Lihaug : Love all the 4 tracks. But Aquarium and Something For You will be played a lot!!!

Dj Alex from Tokyo : A very classy and elegant EP! Aquarium and Play My Mind are my faves for sure. There isn't much music like this around like it used to be.

Greg Churchill : Holy crap these the babies of Pharoah Sanders

Tony Poland : Aquarium is lovely! Superlative return to proceedings for Paper

DJ Paulette : Sexy, deep, eclectic, psychedelic house and crisp broken beats - Louie Vega, Miami, Gilles Peterson, Worldwide, Radio Nova, Stephane Poumpognac and Hotel Costes spring immeditely to mind

DJ Stefano (Disco Outkast) : Lovely stuff as ever from paper.

Shane Johnson : Great sounds and production.

Radioslave : Love "Aquarium"...super dope track...10/10!

Miguel Migs : Nice ep and production....diggin 'Aquarium' and 'Something For You'. thanks...

Chris Keys : Lovely deep and classic sounding tracks! So good to have paperecordings back! Cant decide between 'Play My Mind' or 'Aquarium'...

Danny Mac : Blissful. Wicked cuts. Perfect in everyway.

Murray Richardson : Loving this! - loving Aquarium - loving Paper!

Emma G : Pretty lush grooves!

Fred Deakin (Lemonjelly) : Just loving this. I am a Paperhead!
