WATR (Watershed Association of the Tuckasegee River) put on a great program on the river. The Cherokee fish weir harvest re-enactment was a perfect way to see how fishing was done by the native Cherokee thousands of years ago. It was great to see so many students having fun, and learning about their heritage at the same time.
Thanks for sharing your adventure with me!
