  • It is definately from Cyprus. The name is now protected.. it is not from Greece. Glad you like it though.. it is just out of this world, especially on a bbq, and we like it in a sandwich with tomatoe, and best of all with egg and chips.. yum

  • Good idea. Also, if you don't like a lot of lemon, some of the tomato juice on the avacado will keep it from getting black.

  • See, I really do like Aarti, but what irritates me about these videos is the inconsistency in relation to the volume of the videos. I have to race to change the volume on my laptop everytime I watch these videos because otherwise I'm going to turn deaf. I wish she wouldn't have a super loud theme song and then have such a meek voice in relation and then randomly laugh super loudly or squeal or yell. Just my opinion.

  • We have the same cheese in Québec called "Do-ré-mi" very salty and can be grilled easily

  • Halloumi isn't from all over the Mediterranean! It is from Cyprus. Look at Wikepedia. It states, "Halloumi cheese originated in Cyprus and was initially made during the Medieval Byzantine period, subsequently gaining popularity throughout the rest of the Middle East region." I live in Cyprus and eat it daily.

  • My grandmother used to cook me that! Halloumi is from all over the Mediterranean, especially around Greece, Cyprus and Lebanon..

  • the cheese in the pan sounded like a chorus

  • Aarti I was following the whole season and you are my favorite girl of the show and my favorite guy was Tom, I was surprised he made it so far but he is great just like you!!! Anyways so I myself am a chef and now that I have discovered you on youtube, whenever I want to try making myself new recipes, I know where to take a look!! It's this youtube channel called..... AARTI PAARTI!!!!!!!! and I think you are great on the camera

  • No wonder Aarti seems so natural and camera ready on NFNS! SO glad you won! Buying my various spices now so I can make the Sunday's show dish!
