Cigar Reviews review http://cigarobsession.com Padron 1964 Anniversary Torpedo Maudro

This 6×52 stick offers a firm box pressed dark chocolate wrapper with terrific sweet tobacco and spicy aromas. Burn was almost razor sharp all the way down with a perfect draw giving just the right amount of resistance for an easy cool draw. Flavors were plentiful to say the least with many transition points throughout from beginning to end. They were all exceptionally well blended together and smooth, including coffee, cream, earth, pepper, sweet tobacco, touches of spice and hints of cocoa at points. Total burn time to the nub was 1:15. Photography by BG Pictures.

  • I have one somewhere...

  • The 26 is certainly full strength while the 64 is medium-full

  • Thank you! I prefer the natural wrappers and liked the corona better.

  • Sometimes. But you can only go so far down.

  • Any maker can put out sticks here and there with tight draws, especially torpedos. It certainly does not mean they are 'fake' by any means.

  • my absolute favorite stick. mmmmm good good good.

  • Hey Brian how does this stick compare to the Fuente Fuente Opus X Robusto you reviewed here?

  • Mmmmmmmmm that looks delicious...

  • I enjoyed my first of these last night, and will absolutely be investing in some more. I've been smoking for less than a year, and usually don't pick up on "All" the flavors, but picked up on quite a few with this stick. The oak, and sweet tobacco I picked up right away, and the pepper zing was all down the back of the throat. The best stick I've smoked so far!

  • I tried one of these last night and I was simply blown away. This cigar is smooth and full of rich flavors, produced large amounts of smoke and required no corrections. For me, this is one of the best cigars I've ever smoked in terms of the overall combination of characteristics I like in a cigar. Flavor profile was amazing, so much flavor and yet the flavors are so cleanly intermixed. Great review.

  • I've been sitting on one of these for almost four years! Well, actually its been aging in my humidor for almost four years. I can't wait to try it!

  • Great reviews ... Padron is certainly one of my favorite cigars, especially the 1964 Anniversary series. P.S. I visited your website to see if you had reviewed the Casa Magna Colorado Robusto but didn't see it. Have you tried one or plan on trying one?

    Thanks!

  • Bryan, excellent review! i really enjoy watching these. I had my first two Padron's today with Jorge Padron himself. The family reserve 45th is one serious cigar. These sticks have so much flavor and kick, better than any Bolivar I have smoked.
