Adrian is a great guitarist, great. But he has/had a couple of disadvantages; His wristinjuries to start with, were his biggest demons. He doesn't have the rock charisma on stage. And compared to, Vai for example, his companion guitarists in Whitesnake, his live sound was always a bit softer. But above all, his melodies, his riffs and his solos make him one of my favorite axeman of all time. He is fucking great, and absolutely kills in this video.

When someone says "Adrian Vandenberg" and "solos", the two songs I'll always think of first, are form the Vandenberg days: This is war, and Waiting for the night.
That's Vandenberg for me.
The later stuff with Whitesnake isn't quite the same, for me that's "an excellent guitarist leaving his promising band for a ready place among the big boys".
But I don't know, perhaps the Vandenberg band was falling apart anyways, then I guess I can forgive him.... :P

@englishsandy Look up for some live performances with Whitesnake. His stage presence is horrible.

i shall and hopefully about something better, less synthetic then steve vai.Yes the man can play but after 10 records you're really bored with all the sensless wankage on all the ladders/arpeggios steve does he uses the fucking tremelo.i enjoy his music but it isn't really inspiring maybe on a technical point but after that boring same old same old,he made a breakthrought but after that nothing really new.still enjoyable guitarist but there are better.

adje is way better then vai,vai is all about techniqe+the dude plays the most boring solos ever they just don't lite up only on the technical parts the tend to shine sometimes, and a handfull of songs by vai that are seriously intresting.

I recommend you listen more carefully to steve vai's tone and style. All the solos are definately adje!
You can tell by the heavy staccato, less high frequencies, and more classically influenced sweeps.
