Part 1 of a short film documenting in situ slum redevelopment at Nana peth, Pune, India. The public private partnership follows the Slum Rehabilitation Authority's model of financially sustainable slum upgrading in India. The new housing has been visited five years after the first residents moved in to see how well the community have settled in and to assess the sustainability of the upgrading. This video was made during PhD fieldwork by Victoria Hickman, Centre for Sustainable Development, Cambridge University Engineering Department 2010.
