Reverend Peyton of The Reverend Peyton's Big Damn Band teaching about finger style guitar techniques.

I've been wanting to shoot something like this ever since I met Rev, Breezy and Jayme back in 2007.

We had a few minutes before their recent show at Knuckleheads Saloon in Kansas City. This was in an upstairs room in the old railroad boardinghouse right next to the tracks. We had to stop a few times due to the train whistle.

reviving what? fingerpicking? for heavens sakes.. this has never died out. this rev guy is elementary at best.. no slam to him, he does what he does. there are thousands of finger pickers, shit, millions of players

@jdlansford I think you might not have grasped the whole idea of this particular video, which is Rev showing finger-picking techniques to teach guitarists how to play in this style. It is not the most complex stuff he can play. Look around YouTube and see some other videos to see his most amazing stuff. Or, better yet, see him and his Big Damn Band in concert. They tour constantly.

Also, as I said, playing the Warped Tour introduced this style to a whole new generation.
