Inner Tubing vs. Office Rubber vs. Thera Band, Plus: Bullpup crossbow enhanced

Rubber related questions are MOST common. People often want to know if they can use bike inner tubing or office rubber, as they often can not find Thera Band. Here, a test is conducted. 6kg (12 lbs) draw weight and 85cm (33") of draw length is what everybody can draw with ease, even teenage boys. So three different bands were made that match these criteria, one from inner tubing, one from office rubber, one from Thera Band Gold.

Thera Band is made out of latex, which apparently tends to wear and eventually fail catastrophically. So wouldnt rubber be better because of this danger?

@ivar197 Vulcanized rubber and latex is one and the same. Unvulcanized rubber is not stretchy at all, useless for slingshots. It is true, the bands all tear after many shots, but never "catastrophically". They always tear at the pouch side, then a slap on the hand is all that can happen. And even then, the experienced shooter sees it coming as small nicks will occur first.

Not sure if I'm correct, but do you use more rubber bands to attach the rubber on the posts of the slingshots? If not could you make a video explaining how to attach a band properly? Or even replacing a leather pouch?
