Maybe I'm being to religious or legalistic, and if I am then God convict, forgive and change me. but something feels unbalanced. I'm sure there are fruits and am not saying this is tottaly wrong, but our church went through a hyped phase similar to what I've seen in all these videos and the people who ran away with it all went away from God as soon as something hard and real happened in their life because they had the wrong foundations to deal with it.

I'm sure your hearts are good.

@samadamharding Sam you sound like you've got it m8 we mustn't judge what we don't understand only look at the fruits and pray for guidence so as not to fall like the pharasees who didn't like what they saw because it didn't look right. I think God does things like this to offend the minds and to draw in certain types of people not understanding or not able to handle a church but only able to understand the "feeling" of God then as you said some will fall away?? but the ones who stay would not..

What happens when someone comes in who is going through something painful or through a season of brokenness? Are they supposed to just glaze over it with crazy joy? or roll around like a baby? When I look back at how Jesus worked with his diciples, it was done in wisdom, deep understanding and strong faith not constant manifestations and wackyness.

I'm all for having fun but any meeting of Christians should glorify God, this is making a mockery of Him and gives born again Christains a bad name. You should all be thoroughly ashamed.

Thanks mate. As I said I've been wrestling with this for a while and have no idea how the perfect church should be lol. Seems God keeps changing my mind set on things all the time. All I an say is . . . If it brings the kingdom, keep going for it!

I've been wrestling with this for quite a while now. I've seen alot of emerge wales and slosh fest meetings on youtube and know quite a few people who have been to them and all I see is the same thing. people making fools of themselves and one big competition to be more wacky than the person sitting next to you. I'm all for passion etc and love free worship with all my heart, but what about quiet intimiacy? what about standing tall as men and women of God? instead of constant plane wackyness?
