MY LFE IN THE PHILIPPINES VOL. 22 MOTORCYCLE KINGDOM

This is Canlaon City. Negros Oriental, Philippines. You see more motorcycles here. People get a ride and pay P7 each person. On a trike cost P10 per person. You don't need a license to drive a motorcycle. 8 years old and male or female everybody drives. I see 5 people on one motorcycle. They haul 50klg bag of rice. Sometimes 2 bags.. That's over 220 pounds. We walk most of the time.

I'll be moving to The Philippines sometime around Nov. - Feb. and I can't wait! My girlfriend is from Manila so I wont be lost or anything once there. I can't wait to experience everything The Philippines has to offer. A lot of people will say it's so bad there but they just don't understand the simple life people live there. Thank you for making these vids. I think I'll do the same once there to help shed some light on the beauty that is The Philippines.

Bacolod is not that expensive, I moved here 2 months ago, rent 5500 for 2 br 1 ba, brand new apartment. Over all expenses only about $500 for 2 of us.

@gunkelmvp That's good. We pay less then 4500 PHP for all. Rent, Electric and water. Bacolod is fine. You have everything you need there. Not a quite beautiful place like Canlaon. View "When it's all been said and done".that I posted. All the photos are here where we live. No A/C needed. Our budget is only $750 a month total. No money left to save or get anymore. A cheap budget gives you money for other things. My father told me. "It's not how much money you make. It's what you do with it". Pop

@joshuatravels2684 WOW ! I guess you'll be crazy when you get here. 24 hour trip. I hope you have a great time. See if you can get a International drivers license before you leave. I got one years ago from AAA club. Don't bring much cash. Money Changers here not good. You can use a debit card at alot of banks. Electronic stuff is more expensive here. Bring a Laptop with a DVD /CD burner it. It's along way back home. lol Manila a tough place. Be careful. Popz

Ah, you're on the Oriental side. That's why I couldn't recognize anything. My wife's family is on the Occidental side. You're right, motorcycles are EVERYWHERE and up to 5 people at a time will be on one. The seats are made longer to accommodate families. You're also right that there are very few accidents. I've been to Phil 3 times and was amazed at how CRAZY everyone drove but I didn't see any accidents. And no road rage. Thanks for the posts.

Well, we are coming for a visit.soon I hope. Paperwork. You know. Visa is our next step. My wife had no Philippine passport. We should get that by the end of August. I live on SS and I'm retired. Money's hard. I'm trying to make a change in the trip. Like LA, then Las Vegas then Orlando. Hard from here. Travel agent not that good here. I did find Southwest to make a trip like this but, need better connections. I saw a trike in Sagay when we lived there with 10 people. More later

Are you guys ever returning to the US? I once had 7 seven people pile up on a tricycle I hired. Amazing!
