The ALA ban is so stupid, if they really want to ban e cig, they should ban regular cigarette first.

I agree. I would like to quit cigarrettes, because of the ill affects on your health, but the problem is, i enjoy smoking. I am planning to purchase an E-cig because of the lesser health effects because it still allows you to smoke, but without all the health problems. If states banned e-cigs, then why not ban cigarettes also? e-cigs have lesser effects on health, and are a more healthy choice than a normal tobacco cigarette. So why ban something that harms you less than a normal cigarette?

Kudos to your parents for being savvy enough to know there was a decent product that could work for you and others 100% unlike the drugs,patches,lozenges which the ALA touts and which has only a 2% success rate! The ALA only wants to keep "big Pharma" in business {"BP" funds them} and their products are just as expensive as cigarettes!Really want to quit? Use a decent ecig like an eGo kit.

***I agree with you, similar story except im underage, i started sometime when i was 15, at 17 i bought a ecig, and it was a refillable, i refilled it about 5 times, then as i progressively slowed down i quit, and ill tell you, I'VE TRIED so many times to quit, hard to believe, but my parents found out, they bought me the gum, and patches, didn't help at all, then i try the ecig, and today i am smoke free. It seems anything healthy is either misunderstood, or just banned for no reason...***

the voice is what changes with regular cigs first, the vocal cords are very sensitive. I m a singer and i lost for years because of smoking 1.5 octave of notes. i use the e cig and guess what! My voice is back. And not jsut mine, many write the same thing on forums, i try to take care what liquid i use, only vg glycerin, but e cig is not harmful because it would show in the voice, im not a doc, this is just an opinion, thats all.

@tumaru What are you talking about? The man is at his desk in his own office. And the first thing I found charming about the setting were the Norman Rockwell art on the walls behind Shawn. Very tasteful stuff... He needs to be near his computer as he looks things up to share with us during his videos. Where do you think he should be?? What do you find "not respectable" about his office? If it offends you then just don't watch his videos anymore. The message is what important here!!

The REAL reason that people may support a law to make such a simple device illegal is simple... no more profit for the major tobacco tycoons.

The tobacco industry leaders are shoving millions at anyone who can change the minds of the general public about the benefits of the e-cig.
