pt 5 - Coopers Beer Kit TASTE TEST!!! Final in Series

Ok so here we are taste testing the Copper's Beer Brew Kit. This is the Coopers Dark Ale that we had a hell of a time with.

This was fermented for 3 weeks, and then carbonated in bottle for another 3 weeks. Now we are opening. Many of the bottles are not ready yet. You need to squeeze the bottle to see if there is carbonation. If it's 'tightt then it's carbonated, if you can still squish in the bottle, it needs more time. I guess this is the big benefit to using plastic over

I don't know why some bottles are more carbonated than other though. . I guess this is the big benefit to using plastic over glass.

Everything was new and as sterile as can be so I do believe this was the inteded flavor. I have to admit, while it is drinkeable, it isn't 'real beer'.

This kind of homebrew is in a legue of it's own. It's should not compete with macro brew of craft brew.

I will say though, that this Coopers is more drinkable and likeable than many dark ale craft brewers we had because it doesn't have any sharp edges and isn't very offensive.

However, it tastes very watered down and lacks that 'beer flavor'. It's almost like it needs 2 cans.

Not really.

The 1040 that we shoot for can be ask low as 3.8% alcohol!

What's happened now is I've grown accustomed to less alcohol.

@TakeSomeAdvice that is a bit low i like my beer a bit higher ABV since for me the taste of the beer changes when you get a bit tipsy and even in some cases brings out the real flavors at least for me but that is just my personal opinion

Yes I agree it's really low. That's why I'm moving to all grain :)

seems like my coopers brew kit was the complete opposite of yours,everything came intact nothing was broken,when it came down to the day i had to bottle my brew the process was flawless,the day i tasted my first brew i was really happy with the way it came out....u guys are just idiots lol !!!! i recomend this brew kit to EVERYONE
