@Sportbiketrackgear I want safety first and foremost and then styling. I think the last jacket I had was the astar stunt 2 and it was Pretty good but I've been looking into the dainese Santa Monica, race jacket and the mx-1 alpinestar. I like the added looks and performance of the speed hump (at the risk of looking like a tool because I'm a beginner), but I'm scared it might affect me negatively if I need to wear a pack. The Santa Monica looks forgiving in this aspect.

@Sportbiketrackgear 1.85m high and 85+ kilos. My opinion is go with tight and let it cure and become snaggy. It will, you can take my word on it, i got a 48 for me and over the time it become perfect like its tailored for me.

I'd say that the jacket size is too slack on your body.
In my opinion you should wear 44 or even 42 jacket and let it cure with time and use.
Mine is 48 and it was rather uncomfortable in the beggining. I stood up on it and after almost 3 years of continues using its still snaggy and cured to my body. Love it!

@Kyu1LL They are very differnet jacket IMO. Are there any specific features you are looking for in the jacket?

way more air flow in the Alpinestars S-MX. Totally different jackets IMO, both are top notch
