THIS IS THE KIND OF TRUCK WORKHORSE YOU WOULD SEE IN THE FORTIES. THIS EXCELLENT RESTORED CAB OVER ENGINE IS SHARP WITH IT'S CHROME PLATING, NEW INTERIOR, RESTORED STAKE BED, AND GREEN OVER BLACK PAINT. ANOTHER FEATURE IS THE TILT-OUT WINDSHIELD. THE ENGINE IN THIS TRUCK IS A SIX CYLINDER AND HAS A MANUAL FOUR SPEED TRANSMISSION. I CAN'T FIND TOO MUCH INFORMATION ON THIS TRUCK BUT IF ONE OF YOU VIEWERS DO HAVE SPECS ON THIS TRUCK PLEASE SHARE IT WITH US IN THE COMMENTS.

  • when i was a kid there were several coe trucks around, i thought guys stood up and drove them.

  • @Mac10Mackey HA! I can see how one would think drivers stood up driving these trucks. Thats funny. I'm glad you enjoyed this coe.

  • @55lincoln i watch all the auctions on directv and never see anything like these coe's roll up at auction. Its nice to see these awesome trucks being preserved in any form.

  • @Mac10Mackey These are so rare that you won't see these at auctions. Maybe at farm estate sales. But, it was great seeing this at a car show. What a surprise. Thanks again.

  • Gorgeous truck.

  • @sokodad Yes, this is gorgeous and a pleasure for me to actually see it. I just posted a video of my Franklin and Danbury mint models and there is a GMC Coca Cola truck that you might be interested in viewing. Thanks for enjoying this rare truck.

  • @herbienbrian2 Aw, this is a great restoration job and a seldom seen truck from the forties. I'm glad you enjoyed this video.

  • wow! amazingly restored!

  • @641Workmaster I'm really glad you got to talk to the owner of this truck. I couldn't wait around to get his attention since he was constantly talking to admirers of this COE Chevy. What a history of this truck. It not only is rare but a beautiful example of a restored workhorse. Until I saw this in person, I never had seen one except for photos. Good goin'. And many thanks for the background and comments of this truck.

  • Saw this truck that day in St. Charles. I talked to the owner, said it was originally a power and light truck with a utility body on it. I believe he said an uncle bought it and removed the utility bed in favor of a grain bed for farm use. I took plenty of pictures and the front is my wallpaper on my phone. Beautiful truck!
