okay he used ";" in lines containing multiple command, true he does not need the ";" at the last command or a single command line

FYI you don't need the ";" to end every command at the prompt. Also "sudo su -" is redundant, you can get the same effect using the "sudo -i" argument. You can read the man page for sudo using "man sudo."
