@zombiefang You can play blind man all you want, "The Dark Knight" should've been nominated for Director, Screenplay and Best Picture. "The Reader" shouldn't have been on that list.

I love movies and I love the Oscars. For the first time I've seen every movie nominated for something (excluding the best foreign films and documentaries). My favorite movie for 2008 is "The Curious Case of Benjamin Button" and David Fincher, which I'm sure will loose out to "Slumdog Millionaire", which is okay because it was excellent also. I hope Kate Winslet and Sean Penn win for their respective roles, they were absolutely amazing. And go "WALL-E"! :-)

Very poor nominations! The only ones I hope win are Heath Ledger for Dark Knight, Bolt, Amy Adams and Meryl Streep for Doubt, and Angelina for Changling.

Kate Winslet was a LEAD role in "The Reader", not supporting! The movie was ABOUT her. And she sucked in "Revolutionary Road"- the academy got it right.
