God says even our righteous deeds are like filthy and polluted rags (Isaiah 64:6), and therefore, by the works of the law, no human being will be justified in His sight (Romans 3:20). God requires perfection, and if you cannot attain perfection, the only hope you have is in Jesus Christ - God manifested in the flesh. Your sins can be on Him, dying on the cross. And His righteousness can be on you, being found perfectly justified by Christ, in the day of Judgment.

Those who practice sin and are comfortable in their sin do not have the spirit of God in them. Before I was a Christian, I used to sin and it was no big deal.
