Is it difficult for your neck adjustments to hold if you have a lot of stress?
-
Your smart, physical therapy can work as well, its your muscles that have most likely been strained not your vertebra. It will take some exercises and maybe cold and warm compresses to bring down any swelling. An X-ray if the Chiro even does one will not show muscle or ligament damage. If they turn or pull your head too far, a strained muscle could tear. Beware of anyone who applies life force religion crap to medicine.

Chiropractics was not being evaluated for the validity of all the fantastic claims it makes. It is these claims and the number of patients who have been injured my neck & back manipulation when, its no more effective than physiotherapy. I for one would not put myself at risk with no proof of extra benefit. My personal experience has been that, Chiropractors try to convince patients that, manipulation is something one needs from birth to death, as it keeps money coming in. Yoga is better & cheap.

Since manipulation in the UK BEAM study included chiropractic, osteopathic, and physiotherapy professions, to say it proved chiropractics is best is misleading. The study also states An economic evaluation in British primary care found that physiotherapy led exercise classes were less expensive and more effective than general practice care alone. Furthermore, the BMJ states, A Swedish study found no differences in costs or outcomes between physiotherapy and chiropractic manipulation.

You sent me the following: They did the study you are talking about in the UK It is called the UK BEAM trial. I don't have a link handy, but you can do a search for it. Chiropractic was found to be the most cost effective, chiro plus exercise the most effective overall, and "best practices of medicine" fared the poorest by a substantial margin.
According to BMJ Publishing Group Ltd which I assume is the British Medical Journal, manipulation included chiropractic, osteopathic, and physiotherapy.

The claims the chiropractors make are passed down from their educators from the beginnings of
chiropractics. We all know how things get distorted over time, and without peer review, or case studies way back when, it fails as evidence for scientific proof. You need to take 1000 people all with the same exact condition and treat one group with chiropractics, one group with physical therapy, one group with yoga, and one group goes untreated as a control group. Then you may have something.

The first time I saw a chiropractic student at the school, they x-rayed my spine and correctly diagnosed my preexisting scoliosis. However, when I left and came back after a few years, no x-ray was done. Both times, they failed to diagnose my Arnold Chairi Malformation. With 15mm of my cerebellum herniated down into my spine, they could have easily caused harm. All the students I had work on me made outlandish claims about chiropractics ability to cure practically any diseases like cancer.

As someone who was had begun to practice yoga shortly before going to a chiropractor after not going to one in years, I was surprised to discover that, most of the positions they out you in are vary similar to yoga poses. The main difference is, your usually lying down and, someone else is moving you in and out of the positions. The main difference between yoga and chiropractics is, no adjustments to the spine. I quit going after the chiropractic student working on me made outlandish claims.

kind of hard to believe in this..
Chiropractic is extremely safe. If it were so dangerous, why are malpractice insurance rates so low for chiropractors compared to medical doctors? I am pretty sure that insurance companies know the true facts about what is going on.

I have neck problems from whiplash. But I am terrified of these men. I DO NOT BELIEVE they can be 100% sure of which direction to move the neck, how much force to apply, etc. It is a frightening procedure. And what's up with that "life force" stick? Count me as VERY sceptical.
