@asdube yeah bro there slaughtered any ways so why let it go to waste but i heard goat skin for the thili side of the dhol on my friends dhol and all i`m gonna say is that the synthetic skin sounds waaaaayayayyy better for the thili but for the bass nothing beats goatskin and man i don`t think it`s possible to do that with tabla i heard that the black part in the middle is the key to the sound or something on tabla`s

I'm a purist when it comes to music. Yaar, it just sounds so much more organic when they use goat skins. I play tabla. I hope they never develop synthetics for tabla. That will be the day that I'll lose all hope. ;o) Also, I don't see any harm in making musical instruments from dead animals. They were slaughtered for meat anyway. We veggies salute their sacrifice and immortalize them through music. :o)

@asdube woot i`m veggie aswell and i use goat skin for my dagga lol and they use synthetic because it lasts longer and it doesn`t have that vibration when you hit it
