OBEs: The Benefits of Astral Travel - C2C 4/11

Speaker and author William Buhlman discussed the latest research on out-of-body experiences (OBEs). During these experiences a person moves into an astral realm-- a dimension of existence apart from the physical world. There are many benefits that can be gained during OBEs. You become an explorer who can ascertain direct knowledge about one's existence rather than just adhering to a belief system, he explained.

During sleep, people actual separate from their bodies, if only a few inches, Buhlman pointed out, adding that one purpose of sleep may be to recharge the body by accessing the etheric plane. He shared a technique for inducing OBEs: Get up after about 4 hours of sleep, and lie down on a couch instead of your bed. Then, repeat the affirmation "now I'm out of my body" and hold onto that thought.

People have reported having communications with deceased loved ones and family pets during astral travels. But, the natural evolution in an OBE is to slowly lose human form and become a globe of consciousness with 360 degree views, he revealed. A lot of concepts surrounding OBEs are false, such as you can lose connection to your physical body if you're out too long, or that negative entities can enter your body while you're astral traveling, he detailed.

this is very false that doesnt happen when you die, you cant controle this at all ok when you die there is a heaven or hell heaven and hell in life and on the other side as well ok. when you are a murder somebody your going to hell asap

at first i wasnt sure what was goin on but i started to research it... and its changed my life sooooooo much once i really started to understand it...

its nice to hear of other people having this experience because nobody that i know of really knows what im talking about... or maybe some of them dont believe me and think im crazy! lol so i mostly keep this to myself..

@brittaneysavage I just had an obe and it seemed like my brain made a movie in 3d and with feelings it was indeed like very real thing but "like" cause i knew it wasn't real.

So yes our brains r capable of creating 3d reality in our heads but as far as going out of body -may be it's all just a hype since my experience i felt like was based solely on my own imagination.What is your take on it?

its interesting how everyone has different experiences during astral traveling. i had an obe the other day and found i was surrounded by spirits. one of them showed me how he sees the world. it was like a black void, with jus a few of the spirits lit up, he couldn't see all of them. i asked all the spirits around me is this why no one returns to the heavens above and jus reincarnates. how can they navigate the universe if they can't see it. the universe is a physical place.

Everything is magic! The fact that me and you are communicating is magic! The universe is a miracle and theres so much we need to discover. as humans we dont know much at all even though it feels like we do and we have done alot! death is an illusion, energy never dies
