The potatoes are being transported completely through the machine, on a belt that creates a single layer of product. One by one (but with two lanes next to each other), the potatoes will arrive on the rollers of the optical grader and reach the camera area.
In this optical sorting area, the camera's register the potato and possible defects. Because the rollers are turning independently, the complete potato rotates several times in the camera area for the best possible result.
After this area with camera's, the potato is heading to the part of the machine where different valves are mounted. The different valves each have their own criteria they function on and produce air when needed to blow the product out of the line.
You can install all kind of different functions (dark spot, green, repeel etc.) and due to advanced the machine works very fast and effective.
