@taxwizz That is true, but if it were the 1970's modern terrorists would be Irish or French Canadian. Those two aren't so scary now though.
But I understand that the IRA and FLQ were no where near as bad as the Taliban.

I'm concerned that he sandwiches that "these are merely allegations" in between "2 years of surveillance means this must be immensely serious" and his association of these events to Osama Bin Laden.
Don't just talk about the London Bombings Rex, why not mention mention Operation Kabriole where the RCMP bombed oil sites and blamed it on environmental terrorists?

@taxwizz I'm sorry, that's a very Western-centric view. What about the Tamil Tigers? What about the Kurdistan Workers' Party, which is not acting out of religious fervor as it is attacking other Musims? What about the Maoist Shining Path in Peru and Latin America? What about the Basques? Please, consult an atlas. The world doesn't revolve around the US, Canada, and Europe.

Not true AT ALL, Oklahoma bombing was by Christians, the Russian train bombing was done by Catholic girls. Thats a very racsist point of view
